The second round of the UAE National Karting Championship 2006 is all set to roar into action this Friday February 24 at the Dubai Autodrome's CIK certified Kartdrome. This weekend's event promises to be a pitched battle for victory, especially in the adults' category where even a millisecond can be the difference between glory and despair.
"Motorsports is growing in popularity with every passing day in the UAE, and we are delighted by the audience reaction to this event. People are quickly realizing that racing offers a superb mix of adrenaline pumping excitement and a thriving social scene. I expect the competition to be at its high." said David Terrien, triple world champion and manager of the Kartdrome.
The activities will start Friday morning with drivers sign on and scrutineering, followed by free practice and drivers briefing. Each round of the championship is consisted of two heats, a pre-final and a final for each of the categories.
