Dubai, March 28, 2007 - The Dubai Autodrome Motor Sports Club national raceday, UAE's premier motor racing series reaches its penultimate and seventh round tomorrow, Friday the 30th March, at the 4.29 km international circuit of the Dubai Autodrome.

On the schedule are the regular three championships: The UAE National Superstock Bike Championship featuring 600 cc inline four-cylinder and 750 cc twin-cylinder bikes, the Motorworks GTI Cup featuring 238 bhp track modified VW Golf GTI saloon cars and the Bartercard Gulf Radical Cup featuring 252 bhp SR3 Radical sports racing cars.
During the sixth round that took place on the 9th March 2007, Tarek Al Gammal disrupted the domination of Costas Papantonis by winning the second race of the day in the Motorworks GTI Cup. Costas won the first race leaving him on top of the standings with an accumulative 103 points, Yazan Rijleh in second with 82 points and Maurits Knopjes in third with 40 points.
Karim Al Azhari again dominated the last round of the Bartercard Gulf Radical Cup with his fifth consecutive pole position and double win of the season giving him a lead of 83 points over Emarati driver Mohammed Al Owais in second with 231 points, followed by his brother Omran Al Owais in third place with 210 points. Karim is in a position to seal the championship at this event.
In the UAE Superstock Bikes Suzuki rider Andrew Flint set the best time in qualifying and then scored two deserving wins. Kawazaki rider Addulaziz Bakr who came second in both races still tops the championship standing with 196 points, closely followed by Flint in second with only 9 pints difference and Johnnie Pienaar third with 167 points. The neck-to-neck title race in the UAE Superstock Bikes Championship promises a fierce competition for glory in this round and the final event on 27th April.
The activities on Friday will commence in the morning with free practice, followed by qualifying sessions to determine the grid positions for the races starting at 1: 30pm, with each championship having two races during the afternoon.
