Dubai, UAE, Tuesday 18th of July - The past week has seen another popular line up of DSS activities at The Market, a self-contained shopping mall based at Green Community in Dubai Investments Park.

Since 21st July, The Market has hosted a series of diverse themed events running every week from Thursday through to Saturday. Themes thus far have included Ice Surprises, Arts Surprises and Food Surprises. With each event there have been a broad variety of workshops and entertaining shows in keeping with the theme for the particular week.

The Adventure Surprises have transformed The Market into a virtual sea of activity. As if it wasn't exciting enough already, the event was broadcast live by Channel 4, turning the visitors and participants into radio stars, for the moment at least! Among the loads of fun things to do were games like the obstacle course relay, kite making, juggling workshops and more. Kids even had the chance to design their own cowboy hats and make their own bandana, pendant and pirate patch.

'Adventure Week at "The Market" Green Community was mint!' comments Mrs. Samia Safadi, Green Community resident. 'It was really, really cool and had a wide range of activities that my kids went crazy over. And they are already nagging, wanting to come back for next week's Summer surprises.'

Next week, visitors can look forward to Cartoon Surprises, bringing us to the halfway point of DSS at The Market. As well as a show featuring everyone's favourite cartoon characters, Cartoon Surprises will have a mask show and a mini-tubby show with games.

Children are promised a host of activities, including colouring and drawing, mask painting, plus the use of different paint mediums such as rubber paints and painting using glitters.

'I love all the art workshops,' says 12 year-old Katrina. 'There's so much going on and on different weekends you can do different things like painting your own photo frame, making a mosaic or decorating jewellery.

DSS at The Market will continue through the summer until the 1st September. Future themes to look out for are Nature Surprises, Knowledge Surprises, Flower Surprises, Heritage Surprises, and Back to School Surprises.
