In January, SMACNA, the elite, worldwide Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractor's Association approved GMAMCO's application for membership, which now makes it the sole International Contractor Direct Member in the U.A.E.

Mr. Nadim Saad, General Manager of GMAMCO, says: "It took us four months to become a direct member of SMACNA and comply with their specifications such as quality control, qualifications and manufacturing procedures. We are now the only company in the U.A.E. and only the third in the Middle East to be listed and approved as a direct member. Approval by SMACNA gives GMAMCO the privilege to display the SMACNA logo on all products and related material, thereby enhancing their standing in the industry as a provider of quality products. GMAMCO is certified to ISO 9001:2000 standards and their fire dampers are classified by UL (Underwriters Laboratories Inc) and approved by the U.A.E. Civil Defence.
